Well, this is it. Now I’ve played all of the main Yakuza game available as of now. All of them are on PC and all of the ports are solid. Was the final entry in the series (prior to refocusing the story and gameplay in Like a Dragon) good? It was fine. I enjoyed it more than 5, honestly.

Ну вот. Я прошел все основные игры серии Yakuza, которые сейчас доступны. И все они теперь доступны на ПК, и все порты хорошие. Была ли последняя часть (до смены основной истории и геймплея в Like a Dragon) хорошей? Нормальной. Лично мне понравилось больше, чем 5.
Disapprove: Need for Speed Payback (and few words on Heat)
After having a blast replaying Hot Pursuit (2010) in its Remastered version, I’ve decided to check what the series have actually been up to in the latest entries. First one up was Need for Speed Payback and I gotta say, the first impressions were very poor. Yet, I did get through the entire game, having played most of the events, so there is something good to it as well. Not much, but it’s not an entirely unfun experience.

После нескольких замечательных дней прохождения Hot Pursuit Remastered, я решил посмотреть свежие релизы в серии NFS. Первой попавшейся игрой стала Need for Speed Payback и первые впечатления были очень негативными. Но я додержался до конца и прошел все миссии, среди которых оказались и интересные. Их слишком мало, но по крайней мере, я не страдал каждую минуту прохождения.

Thoughts on: Yakuza 5 Remastered
Yakuza 5 is considered to be one of the best entries in the franchise. To me, it’s the least enjoyable one so far.

As I was going through all of the Yakuza titles, I was getting less hopeful that another one will get me as excited as 0 did back at the start of this journey. None of the games I’ve played this far were bad, even 3 had lots of strong elements despite being the game I’ve enjoyed the least. But then along comes Yakuza 4 in its remastered form on PC and I’m happy again.

По ходу прохождения серии Yakuza, я уже начал думать, что ни одна из игр не станет для меня таким же открытием, которым стала 0 в начале моего путешествия. Все игры были хороши, даже в 3 было немало интересных идей, хоть из всей серии она пока мне нравится меньше всего. Но теперь я прошёл ремастер Yakuza 4 на ПК и снова счастлив.

Every since finally starting my journey through the Yakuza series with 0 three years ago, it’s been very interesting to see series evolve… yet also see that in an “incorrect” way. I mean, sure now I’m fully familiar with Y1 and 2 first hand, but those were the recent Kiwami remakes, not the originals. And even 0 itself was one of the newest developed entries in the series. In fact, Yakuza 3, even in its remastered format, is now the oldest made game in the series I’ve played. This age shows not in the most flattering way.

С моего начала знакомства с серией Yakuza, начиная с 0 три года назад, мне было забавно наблюдать за развитием серии… в неправильном порядке. Да, я хорошо знаком с Y1 и 2, но прошел я их в недавних римейк-версиях Kiwami, а не оригинале. А 0, не смотря на число, была одной из новейших частей серии. Поэтому Yakuza 3, даже пускай и в ремастере, технически является самой старой частью серии, в которую я сыграл. И это очень заметно.
